so much easier, especially for our newer instructors and those ‘seasoned’ ones that
need some updates!!!!" ~Donna M. Wray, MLS(ASCP)CM, Program Director-School of Medical

The Making of a Morphologist - A Visual Tour of White Blood Cells~
- "I am very impressed with the Visual Tour of White Blood Cells. The Software is easy
to use and the images are excellent. The best feature is when you click on an image
and a pop-up window appears with a statement about the specific cells and disorder
present. Students and practicing laboratorians gain much more from this type of atlas
than a static text with only one or two examples." ~John Landis, University of Cincinnati
- "All I can say is that your WBC program is the best I have seen." ~Kathy Waller,
The Ohio State University
- “The Making of a Morphologist - A Visual Tour is by far, the best course I have taken!
The images provided on CD-ROM are so helpful, especially the "Don't Be Fooled" pop-up
screens which show you common mistakes morphologists make. I felt as if the instructor
was right there with me and was able guide me thru each slide so that no question
went unanswered. The course is very clear and well organized. I feel much more confident
in my abilities as a morphologist since taking this course! ~Melanie Newell
- I recently completed the study course, The Making of a Morphologist. The CD ROM was
very well done with clear pictures and excellent descriptions of individual cells,
contrasting them from other cells. This is a great tool for students as well as a
review for experienced techs. I will definitely use CACMLE again. ~Cheryl Stoeckert
Making Clinically Significant Calls - A Visual Tour of Red Blood Cells~
- "The Red Cell Visual Tour is both an excellent review/update for working techs, and
a great way for students to learn red cell morphology along with disease associations.
It has just the right amount of reinforcement and review, and the images are the
best I’ve seen in any program." ~Margaret A. Reinhart
- "All I can say is that your RBC program is the best I have seen." ~Kathy Waller,
The Ohio State University

A Visual Tour of RBCS and a Visual Tour of WBCs
- "I love using these CDs in the hematology curriculum because they walk the students
through visual interpretation of RBCs and WBCs without any effort on my part! The
CDs are user-friendly and interactive with text boxes that pop up for each image.
This keeps the student from falling asleep at the wheel. I also like that the information
and images are organized similarly to their hematology textbook. This makes it easy
to assign sections of the CDs for the students to review on a weekly basis such that
their visual learning follows their textbook learning. In addition, the students
have begun spontaneously using the CDs to review key immature WBCs during their second
rotation in hematology. The students are often fearful of performing abnormal differentials,
especially on patients with leukemia. After they review the CD, they feel more confident.
They spend less time being “freaked out” and more time practicing abnormal differentials
from the slide box." ~Jenney Mead, Parkview School of Medical Laboratory Science,
Pueblo, Colorado
Assuring the Analytical Validity of Results in the Clinical Laboratory~
- "Course 148 is a great course." ~Bert Arico
Bone Marrow Biopsy and Aspirate - Procedure and Interpretation ~
- This is a great learning tool. It is well written and easy to follow. The pictures
complement the points being made. The take home concepts were also emphasized in
tables and charts which are always very helpful. ~Kimberly Mugler MD
Cytospin Morphology - A Visual Tour of Body Fluids~
- "After finishing this course, I felt that I will be more confident and certain now
in describing and naming cells..." ~Xenia Bobis, CLS
The Image Atlases ~
- The Image Atlas of Red Blood Cells provides an extensive collection of images of
morphologic changes exhibited by red blood cells in a wide variety of conditions.
The images should prove very useful for instructors in Hematology lecture and student
laboratory courses, both for instruction and testing purposes. ~Stephen M. Johnson,
MS, MT(ASCP), Program Director, School of Medical Technology, Saint Vincent Health
Center, Erie, PA
