Routine
urinalysis is composed of three parts: gross physical evaluation of the
specimen, chemical screening, and microscopic examination of the urine
sediment. This course focuses on the first two of these. It provides entry-level,
retraining or cross-training laboratory professionals, mid-level practitioners
(PAs, Nurse Practitioners) and Medical Assistants with the basics of routine
macroscopic urinalysis. The physical attributes of urine and the reagent
strip portion of the urinalysis are discussed in detail, and depicted in
numerous color images on CD-ROM (PC Compatible Only). Case studies provide
practice and exemplify characteristic changes seen in patient specimens.
GREAT for STUDENTS!!!
