Knowledge of this disease is critical for providing proper care and treatment of both mother and infant. Upon completion of this course, the participant will have an understanding of the etiology and pathogenesis of HDN, be able to differentiate between ABO, Rh and "other" causes of HDN, list the differences in prenatal testing for routine patients Vs Rh-negative pregnant females, list the postpartum testing required for mother and infant and discuss neonatal transfusion practices.
