User ID - This is an identification created by you, the user, to identify yourself
whenever you wish to enter the View Courses Online / Exams Online website. It is

Student ID - This is used in reporting exam results to CACMLE, and is exactly the
same as the User ID.
Course ID - The alpha-numberic "Course ID" is used to identify the courses available
on the Courses-n-Exam Packages Online / Exams Only Online website. For example, "CACMLE83Course"
is the "Course ID" for the course-n-exam of the "Course Title", "COURSE-n-EXAM_Combating
Infectious Diseases"; and "CACMLE107Exam" is the "Course ID" for the exam only of
the "Course Title", "EXAM-ONLY_The Making of a Morphologist: A Visual Tour of White
Blood Cells". Do not confuse this with the "CACMLE Course Number", which in this
case would be course number 107.
Course Title - This is the title of the course. It is sometimes referred to as the
Course Name.
Validation Code - This is the same as the "Exam ID Code" used when taking a paper
exam. It consists of 2 capital letters and 2 numbers, and is found either on the
"Participation Instructions" page of the course booklet or online file; on the "splash
screen" of the stand-alone CD-ROM course; or if the questions to the exam are on
the CD, on the exam information or question #1 screen. This code is necessary to
proceed with the purchase of an “exam only online”, to retake a failed exam, or if
you decide you wish to take the exam on paper, instead.
New Students - This term is used interchangably with "new on line participants".
Returning Students - This term is used interchangably with "returning on line participants".
